Fenit lighthouse
Fenit Lighthouse, also known as Little Samphire Lighthouse, is located on Little Samphire Island in Tralee Bay. Built in 1851, it is accessible via boat tours or kayak trips during the summer season. Companies like Tralee Bay Experience and Fenit Sea Safari offer boat trips from Fenit Marina, which provide close-up views and, weather permitting, a chance to land on the island. Construction took place during the Irish Famine years.
At the end of Fenit Pier, a large bronze sculpture honors St. Brendan the Navigator, who was born in the area.
